Airbus launches ACJ TwoTwenty business jet
Aviation Updates Philippines –
Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) has officially launched the ACJ TwoTwenty business
jet, paving the way for a new market segment called “The Xtra Large Bizjet.” The
clean-sheet design is based on the Airbus A220-100 airliner.
Moreover, the aircraft also boasts a 50 percent reduced noise footprint compared to previous generation aircraft and a 25 percent lower fuel burn. The TwoTwenty would be capable of flying 18 passengers with a significantly increased range of up to 5,650 nm or 10,500 km (over 12 flight hours).
“We are proud to extend the ACJ product Family with the launch of the ACJ
TwoTwenty. The aircraft combines intercontinental range, unmatched personal
space and comfort for all passengers. This latest technology platform offers
unbeatable economics and unrivalled reliability,” said Benoit Defforge,
President ACJ.
“Based on its compelling market appeal, we see promising demand for this
aircraft in the growing business jet market.”
The ACJ TwoTwenty would only require the same parking space and take-off
length from any usual business jets while offering three times more cabin
space at the same time. The new bizjet also provides a third less operating
cost benefiting from the Airbus A220 family aircraft’s efficiency.
