AirAsia offers 200 free flights to GenSan, Zamboanga for medical frontliners

Aviation Updates Philippines – Low-cost carrier AirAsia Philippines offers 200 free flights to General Santos and Zamboanga in honor of medical frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic.


The free flights are available to doctors, nurses, medical technologists, radiologic technologists, hospital pharmacists, and hospital orderlies in active service and are residing in General Santos or Zamboanga. 


AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla said, “We express our heartfelt appreciation to our medical professionals who tirelessly soldier on. Much inspiration can be drawn from their courage and commitment. We only hope that these flights are able to assist those that wish to return to their families in Mindanao.”

According to AirAsia, medical frontliners can already redeem their free flights until October 4, with a travel period from October 25 to December 31 for flights to and from General Santos. For flights to and from Zamboanga, the travel period is from October 27 until December 31.
