With the downgrading of quarantine status to General Community Quarantine beginning August 19, airlines are now expected to restart domestic air travel from the capital on the same day. Cebu Pacific Air continued to operate Cebu-Clark-Cebu and Cebu-Davao-Cebu flights over the two-week suspension.

The reintroduction of the MECQ over Metro Manila and adjacent provinces on August 4 prompted the cancellation of domestic air travel, excluding international flights, as mandated by government guidelines on COVID-19.
