Air Busan eyes Busan-Manila flights this summer

Aviation Updates Philippines – South Korean airline Air Busan plans to embark on an international route expansion program as it eyes to launch Manila-Busan flights, among other new Asian routes, starting April 2020.

Flights from Seoul-Incheon to Nagoya, Osaka-Kansai, and Tokyo-Narita are all planned to start on April 16, 2020. Additionally, Air Busan will also launch Busan-Manila and Busan-Ho Chi Minh City services beginning April 22, 2020, and April 23, 2020, respectively.

All new flights will fly daily.



The Airbus A321 fleet, with a seating capacity that ranges from 191 to 220 seats, will be deployed for its flights to Japan and Korea. However, a slightly smaller Airbus A320 aircraft, configured in an all-economy 162-seat setting, will be used for flights to Manila.

According to Routesonline, flight BX-717 will depart from Busan at 9:05 pm local time. After a four-hour-long flight, BX-717 will arrive in the Philippines at midnight. The return flight, BX-718, will depart from Manila at 1:10 am local time and will arrive back in Busan at 6:05 am local time.

Some of these newly filed flights are unavailable for booking currently. However, ticket reservations are expected to commence soon.

Air Busan presently flies daily from Busan to Mactan-Cebu while it flies four times weekly to Kalibo, the gateway to the world-renowned Boracay Island.
