AirAsia launches Kuala Lumpur-Cebu flights

Aviation Updates Philippines - AirAsia, a Malaysian-based airline is relaunching flights from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Cebu, Philippines. The route was previously operated by the Philippine-based AirAsia Zest, flying two times a week.

AirAsia will operate the route three times a week starting July 24, 2014. AirAsia will be the only airline operating the Kuala Lumpur to Cebu route.

The flights will fly every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. This route is AirAsia's third Philippine destination, besides Manila and Kalibo.

"We have created new markets for various destinations that we serve, and Cebu will be no different as it is the gateway to many adventure activities and enables visitors to delve into the history & culture of Philippines. We are proud to continue to operate this route as part of our extensive list of exciting destinations," Spencer Lee, Head of Commercial of AirAsia Berhad said.

Flights are available to be booked in AirAsia's website. The airline also launched a promo fare for the Kuala Lumpur to Cebu route starting RM0 for the base fare. This will be available from May 5 -11 and the travel period is from July 24, 2014 to April 30, 2015.
