All Nippon Airways Redeploys 787 for Manila Operations

Aviation Updates Philippines - Japanese carrier, All Nippon Airways (ANA), plans to redeploy its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to Manila, Philippines. According to AirlineRoute.net, ANA's flights from Tokyo Narita and Tokyo Haneda to Manila will be flown by the 787.

Effective starting October 25, 2015, ANA will operate the Boeing 787 on its Tokyo Haneda - Manila route daily. The route is currently being flown by a Boeing 767-300ER. The flight, ANA869, departs Tokyo Haneda at 9:55 am and arrive Manila at 1:30 pm. The return flight, ANA870, departs Manila at 2:35 pm and arrive Tokyo Haneda at 7:55 pm.

All Nippon Airways launched its Tokyo Haneda - Manila service on March 30, 2014 to complement with its existing Tokyo Narita - Manila service. The inaugural flight was also flown by a Boeing 787 aircraft but the following 787 flights were replaced by a Boeing 767.

In addition, ANA's Tokyo Narita - Manila flights will also be operated by its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft on the same day, October 25, 2015, replacing the 767. However, the operation of the Dreamliner will end until December 2, 2015. On December 3 onwards, the route's two weekly frequencies will be operated by the Boeing 787 and the remaining five weekly frequencies will be operated by a Boeing 777-200ER.

All Nippon Airways Flight 819 depart Tokyo Narita at 5:20 pm and arrive Manila at 8:55 pm. The return flight, ANA Flight 820 departs Manila at 9:30 am and arrive Tokyo Narita at 3:00 pm. This service operates between the two destinations daily.

ANA was the launch customer of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The airline received its first 787, and the first to be delivered in the world, on September 21, 2011. Its first passenger flight was on October 26, 2011, which flew from Tokyo Narita to Hong Kong on a charter flight. ANA currently operates 34 Boeing 787-8 and has 5 more on order as of August 2015.
