Sunlight Air unveils future destinations
Aviation Updates Philippines – The newest competitor in the Philippine aviation sector, Sunlight Express
Airways, has publicly announced its first domestic routes when it launches
chartered operations soon.
Sunlight Air said it plans to fly from their Manila and Clark hubs to both
Busuanga and Puerto Princesa. Back in February, the new airline exclusively
revealed to AUP about their intentions to offer chartered flights to these
destinations.
"Our main purpose is to meet the increasing demand of the Philippine tourism
industry with targeted destinations, notably Busuanga and Puerto Princesa
Palawan," the airline said.
Sunlight Air already has three owned ATR 72-500 aircraft. The first one,
RP-C6638, arrived in the Philippines in November last year, the second one,
RP-C6683, in January this year, and the third one, RP-C6386, in March.
These aircraft are fitted with 70 seats in an all-economy class
configuration across the cabin.
In October 2019, Sunlight Express Airways Corp. arranged with the Civil
Aeronautics Board for the issuance of a Certificate of Public Convenience
and Necessity (CPCN). This was a step further in clearing the airline for
take-off.
