Cebu Pacific to deploy 436-seat Airbus A330 to General Santos

As the airline continues to realign operations after several massive capacity reductions to its Chinese and Korean markets, Cebu Pacific plans to redeploy its widebody fleet to key trunk routes in the Philippines.

Beginning next week, the low-cost airline's website shows a daily Airbus A330-300 flight from Manila to General Santos. Historically, it is the first time for Cebu Pacific to deploy commercial A330 flights to the southern city.

The schedule and flight number of the widebody service varies depending on the day.

General Santos is known for its rich tuna cargo demand, which makes it feasible for widebody operations. Aside from that, Cebu Pacific complements the huge cargo demand with daily ATR 72-500F flights in the city to Cagayan de Oro and Manila.

Cebu Pacific has also upgraded some of its flights from Manila to Cebu and Davao to the 436-seat widebody jet. As of today, the airline operates four daily Airbus A330-300 flights to Cebu and Davao.
