Peach Aviation Limited announced plans to launch daily flights between Osaka’s Kansai International Airport and Singapore starting December 4, 2024. This marks the first time in 14 years that a Japanese airline will operate this route.

The new service will be Peach’s second medium-haul international route, following its existing Osaka-Bangkok connection. Flights will be operated using the Airbus A321LR aircraft, which offers improved fuel efficiency and passenger comfort compared to the carrier’s existing A320 fleet.

Kazunari Ohashi, CEO of Peach Aviation, expressed enthusiasm for the new route: “We are very pleased to launch the Osaka-Singapore route, our second medium-haul international route and the first for a Japanese airline in 14 years. The state-of-the-art A321LR aircraft with ample seating space will be deployed to ensure a comfortable flight to Singapore.”

The A321LR configuration used by Peach features a maximum seat pitch of 32 inches, comparable to some full-service carriers. The aircraft is also equipped with USB charging ports at each seat.

Ticket sales for the new route began on August 29, with one-way fares starting at 13,690 yen ($92 USD). The flight schedule is as follows:

  • MM773: Departs Osaka (Kansai) at 6:50 p.m., arrives in Singapore at 1:00 a.m. the next day
  • MM774: Departs Singapore at 2:15 a.m., arrives in Osaka (Kansai) at 9:35 a.m.

Peach Aviation currently operates 27 domestic routes and 12 international routes, with a fleet of 36 aircraft based across seven Japanese airports.
