Southwest Airlines expands flight schedules, adds flights

American low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines has announced an extension of its flight schedule through November 2, 2024.

Moreover, the airline is adding seasonal service between Nashville and Richmond, Virginia, and between Memphis, Tennessee, and Las Vegas.

New destinations from Tennessee

Starting October 3, 2024, Southwest will introduce seasonal nonstop service between Memphis, Tennessee, and Las Vegas, operating from Thursdays to Mondays.

Then, from October 6, 2024, the airline will add seasonal nonstop service between Nashville and Richmond, Virginia, operating on Sundays.

Additionally, seasonal weekend nonstop service between Nashville and Cancun, Mexico, will return from October 5, 2024.

International routes for fall travel

As fall approaches, Southwest is resuming several seasonal routes for international travel.

Beginning October 5, 2024, the airline will resume seasonal nonstop service on weekends between Austin, Texas, and Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, Mexico, and between Phoenix and Cancun, Mexico.

On the same day, the airline will also resume seasonal Saturday service between Atlanta and Cancun, Mexico; San Antonio and Cancun, Mexico; Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Montego Bay, Jamaica; Kansas City, Missouri, and Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, Mexico; and Sacramento, California, and Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, Mexico.

Additional seasonal routes will begin from October 3, 2024. The full schedule is now available for booking through November 2, 2024, at Southwest.com.

Southwest Airlines, which began operations in 1971, now operates at 121 airports across 11 countries. The airline carried more than 137 million customers in 2023.
