AirAsia Philippines targets young travelers in 2024 with 2.2 Love Takes Flight Sale

AirAsia Philippines is setting its sights on Gen Z and Millennial travelers in 2024, aiming to capitalize on their preference for traveling with loved ones. The airline cites a recent survey showing that 90% of travelers aged 18 to 43 prefer to travel with family, partners, or significant others.

This aligns with AirAsia's own passenger data for January, where Gen Z and Millennials comprised 92% of total passengers, with Gen Zs making up 34% and Millennials 58%.

Forward bookings for popular island destinations like Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, and Puerto Princesa, as well as international destinations like Taipei, Incheon, Osaka, and Narita, also reflect this trend, with Gen Z and Millennials accounting for 27% of bookings for these destinations as of February 1st.

"We are extremely excited to welcome the energy that young travelers—Gen Zs and millennials alike—will bring as the travel profile diversifies," said AirAsia Head of Communications and Public Affairs and First Officer Steve Dailisan. "As shown in our data, beaches remain a go-to destination for those who’d like to have a quick romantic getaway or relaxation with family."

To attract more young travelers, AirAsia Philippines is offering a special "Heart's Month" treat with one-way base fares as low as PHP22 for all domestic and international destinations until February 4th, with travel dates valid until July 31st, 2024.

Additionally, travelers attending the 31st Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) Travel Expo from February 2nd to 4th at the SMX Convention Center can enjoy a 10% discount on fares and baggage fees for domestic and international flights for travel until March 19th, 2025.

"We also invite everyone to watch out for our new summer campaign teased as “LFG” as this will surely excite this generation’s young travelers—and those young at heart also," Dailisan added.
