International students, as defined by PAL, are those who choose to pursue part or all of their studies in a foreign nation and relocate to that country specifically for education. Under the new program, these students can avail a 10% discount on either one-way or roundtrip fares on eligible international routes within PAL's network. However, certain terms and conditions apply to this offer.

Salvador “Bud” Britanico Jr., PAL Vice President for Sales, emphasized the company's commitment to the academic aspirations of the youth. He stated, “As the Philippines’ flag carrier, we extend our full support to students who wish to study abroad, through our Global Student Plus program. Philippine Airlines hopes to be part of their journeys in fulfilling their dreams for an overseas education, and to be remembered as one of their stepping stones to success.”

Interested students can avail of this special fare until December 31, 2023, with the travel period extending until further notice.

To qualify for the 'Global Student Plus' program, passengers are required to present a valid International Student Identity Card (ISIC), a student visa, or an acceptance letter from the educational institution they are attending. Verification is mandatory both at the time of booking and during the airport check-in process.

In addition to the fare discount, qualified travelers will also benefit from an extra free baggage allowance. They can carry an additional 10kg or one piece of luggage, depending on the applicable terms, over and above the standard baggage allowance.

For bookings and further information, students can reach out to PAL ticket offices or contact PAL directly via their contact centers at (+63) 2 8855 8888, (+63) 919 056 2255, and (+63) 2 85390000.
