BPIA Acting Airport Manager, Mr. Anghelo B. Ibañez, airline executives, and local media warmly welcomed the arriving passengers during the inaugural flight ceremony.

Asiana Airlines plans to operate regular flights to Bohol every Wednesday and Saturday, signaling potential for increased direct flights in the future. The move is expected to fuel economic growth by attracting more tourists and boosting business activities in the region.

In a statement posted on Facebook, BPIA said: "The continued increase in number of flights in BPIA particularly for international flights signifies the increase in demand for passengers and tourists to come here in the province which will eventually result to a boost in economic activities that will benefit us all."

Asiana Airlines joins three other carriers plying the Bohol-Seoul route: Air Busan, Jeju Air, and Royal Air Philippines.
