In an advisory, Philippine Airlines announced flights to/from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Phnom Penh, and Singapore will depart and arrive at Manila Airport's Terminal 1 from April 16.
The routes will add to Philippine Airlines' current international flight operations at Terminal 1 which includes arrivals and departures to the United States, Guam, Canada, the Middle East.
The transfer of the flights to Terminal 1 is part of the airport's reassignment initiative of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) to ease congestion and improve passenger convenience at all terminals.
Previously, plans were announced that would see the full conversion of Terminal 2 – exclusively used by Philippine Airlines – for all-domestic flight operations by July. All remaining international flights operated by the Manila-based carrier are expected to be transferred to Terminal 1.
