China Airlines launches new Cebu-Taipei flights
Aviation Updates Philippines – China Airlines formally launched its new service between Taipei and Cebu – its first new destination introduced in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era - on Thursday (December 1).

Using Airbus A321neo aircraft, China Airlines will offer four weekly flights connecting both cities providing a new option for Taiwanese tourists to visit the Philippines. The flights will also serve the transit travel market to/from Cebu – the Philippines' second largest city.
According to China Airlines, the four-times weekly service between Cebu and Taipei will operate every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Flight CI705 will depart Taipei-Taoyuan at 0740H and arrive at Cebu at 1035H. The return flight CI706 will depart Cebu at 1135H and arrive at Taipei-Taoyuan at 1430H.
The new Taipei and Cebu service is China Airlines' third route between the Philippines and Taiwan. With its flights from the Philippine capital city of Manila to both Taipei and Kaoshiung, the newly added route will bring the total number of weekly flights the airline operates between both countries to 21.
Following the launch of the flights to Cebu, China Airlines will introduce new services to two other destinations in Southeast Asia in 2023 – Da Nang (January 2) and Chiang Mai (January 20).
