Based on NOTAM B3339/22, Runway 22 will now be operational for daytime take-offs and landings under visual meteorological conditions (VMC). The daytime VMC limitation means that, until October 25 at 6:00pm, only flights during the day under fairly good weather conditions are allowed to operate.
Moreover, landings at Runway 04 will not be allowed due to the disabled aircraft. Take-off, which will only be allowed under daytime VMC, must commence from taxiway J. Extreme caution is advised when entering the runway via taxiway K because of recovery equipment and personnel.
As a result, NOTAM B3337/22 also details the revised, temporary declared distances for Runway 04/22. Take-off distance available for Runway 04 is down to 2,600 meters. Meanwhile, take-off and landing distance available for Runway 22 is down to 2,700 meters.
Earlier today, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) announced the temporary resumption of runway operations from 2:00pm to 6:00pm only on Monday.
