Cebu Pacific to continue flights as scheduled amid new restrictions

Aviation Updates Philippines – Cebu Pacific Air on Sunday reassured its flights will continue as scheduled amid tighter quarantine restrictions due to rising COVID-19 cases in the country. The Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) has announced stricter guidelines beginning March 22, until April 4, 2021.

"Cebu Pacific will continue to operate its flight schedule as planned for the next three (3) days," the airline's advisory released on March 21 said. However, passengers who wish to postpone their flights and those who are travelling for non-essential reasons may opt for the following:
  1. Rebook - Rebook for travel at no additional cost, following CEB's permanent removal of change fees. A minimal fare difference may apply.
  2. Travel Fund  - Store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet valid for two (2) years and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (e.g. baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.)
  3. Refund - Due to the high volume of requests, the process may take up to seven (7) months from date of request.

Cebu Pacific is advising its passengers to check the status of their flights before proceeding to the airport at https://bit.ly/CEBFlightStatusCheck. Travel requirements, safety protocols, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) can be viewed via https://bit.ly/CEBFlightReminders.

Passengers are advised to update their contact details via bit.ly/CEBUpdateInfo to receive email notifications on flight reminders and updates.

"We will provide updates on flights from March 25 to April 4 in the coming days as more information becomes available. For other questions or concerns, passengers may send a message via Charlie the chatbot on the Cebu Pacific website, or through CEB's official Facebook and Twitter accounts."
