Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires John Law led the acceptance, turnover, and blessing ceremony of the said aircraft at the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing Hangar, Col. Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

“The C-130 is a proven aircraft and demonstrated its reach and capability to deliver COVID-19 supplies across the country over the past year. We hope this additional aircraft will continue to be a steady workhorse for the Philippine Air Force for years to come,” said Mr. Law.

Known as the "four fans of freedom," the aircraft is part of the two C-130 units expected to be transferred to the Philippine Air Force through the Security Cooperation Assistance of the United States Government.

The C-130 aircraft landed at the Villamor Air Base on January 29, 2021. On the same day, PAF Vice Commander MGen Florante Amano welcomed the new addition to the fleet via a simple Arrival Ceremony, according to the DND.
