Cathay Pacific launches cargo flights to Riyadh
Aviation Updates Philippines – Beginning January 5, 2021, Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific is
launching a new cargo link between Hong Kong and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Cathay Pacific Cargo has been strengthening its cargo network to support the strong logistics demand internationally. Last month, the airline introduced Hong Kong-Hobart flights to provide an airlink for the export of fresh produce in Australia.
"The airline has seen a growing demand for air cargo flights between Saudi
Arabia and Hong Kong (HKG), a leading cargo and logistics hub in Asia,"
Cathay Pacific said.
"These new flights will meet the strong demand for shipments of e-commerce
and other general cargo such as garments, providing our customers with
reliable, efficient and direct air cargo services offering the high level of
quality for which Cathay Pacific Cargo is known."
In a press release, the airline said it plans to fly once-a-week to Riyadh
from Hong Kong, with a scheduled stop-over at Dubai World Central airport.

To complement the existing cargo flights, Cathay Pacific has also introduced
cargo-only flights aboard passenger aircraft to bring additional freighter
capacity.
