In a release from the Taipei-based carrier, the airline will operate the new routes specifically to Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi, Tokyo-Narita, and Osaka-Kansai twice-weekly each. Services to Bangkok will start first on December 1, followed by Osaka (December 15) and Tokyo (December 16). Flights to Bangkok and Osaka will operate on a Tuesday/Friday schedule while flights to Tokyo will operate on Wednesday/Saturday.

Reservations for the flights have been open since November 2 except for Tokyo, which began in the middle of the month. However, given the current state of the pandemic the airline notes it may change the schedules depending on market demand.

According to Starlux, the airline chose to launch the routes as the cities are “important business destinations.” The airline further stated that “these routes were selected following a careful evaluation of post-pandemic air transportation demand.”

Starlux expects to continue with its future plans including the delivery of 13 Airbus A321neos and the opening of its Flight Operations Center.
