Singapore Airlines plans to operate at 15% pre-COVID levels before year end

Aviation Updates Philippines – With the release of its flight schedule for the end of the year, the Singapore Airlines Group is expecting to mount another gradual increase in flights throughout its network.

According to Singapore Airlines, the airline plans to operate at a 15% capacity of its pre-pandemic levels from around January 2020. It will be up from around 11% in November and 8% during this month (October). 

 

Along with increasing flights, the airline group plans to reinstate flights to Brunei, Fukuoka, Kathmandu, and Male. 

 

For its Brunei services, the airline plans to resume flights to the capital Bandar Seri Begawan starting November 1. Services to Fukuoka, Japan will start on November 5. 

 

While Singapore Airlines will operate flights to Brunei and Fukuoka, its regional subsidiary SilkAir will operate flights to Male and Kathmandu. Services to Kathmandu have started last October 10, while the schedule re-launch of flights to Male will be on December 1. 

 

Based on the updated flight schedules, the Singapore Airlines Group plans to operate flights to/from the following destinations from October through December: 

 

Southeast Asia

SilkAir: Bandar Seri Begawan, Phnom Penh, Medan, Penang, Cebu

Jakarta, Surabaya, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi, Manila, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh 

 

North Asia

SilkAir: Chongqing

Shanghai-Pudong, Hong Kong, Fukuoka, Osaka-Kansai, Tokyo-Narita, Seoul-Incheon, Taipei

 

West Asia/Africa

SilkAir: Male (Maldives), Kathmandu

Dhaka, Johannesburg

 

Australia/New Zealand

Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Auckland, Christchurch

 

Europe

Copenhagen, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Barcelona, Zurich, Amsterdam, London-Heathrow, Istanbul
