LIST: AirAsia flight schedule for August 2020
Aviation Updates Philippines –
Low-cost carrier AirAsia Philippines continues to expand its route network with
the reintroduction of commercial international flights and the addition of
frequenceis to key domestic airports beginning August 2020.
Based on AirAsia's advisory as of August 1, the airline eyes to resume
international flights this month from Manila to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok-Don
Mueang, Chengdu, and Taipei. AirAsia restarted international operations on
July 21 with a direct flight to Malaysia.
Flights to Don Mueang begins on August 3 (every Monday), Kuala Lumpur on
August 4 (every Tuesday), Chengdu on August 5 (every Wednesday), and Taipei on
August 18 (every Tuesday). Starting August 12, Manila-Kuala Lumpur flights
will operate on Wednesdays.
The following are the available international flights through AirAsia (as of
August 1, 2020):
- Manila - Don Mueang - Manila (every Monday)
- Manila - Kuala Lumpur - Manila (every Wednesday)
- Manila - Chengdu - Manila (every Wednesday)
- Manila - Taipei - Manila (every Tuesday)
For the domestic sector, AirAsia is ramping up frequencies to Davao, Cebu,
Iloilo, Bacolod, Kalibo, Caticlan, among others. Most of the frequency
increases are effective August 16. As of the moment, the low-cost airline
mostly retained the flight schedule from July for the first half of the
month.
The following are the available domestic flights through AirAsia from
August 1 to 15 only (as of August 1, 2020):
- Manila - Davao - Manila (every Wednesday and Friday)
- Manila - Cebu - Manila (daily)
- Manila - Cagayan de Oro - Manila (every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday)
- Manila - Iloilo - Manila (weekly)
- Manila - Tacloban - Manila (daily)
- Manila - Puerto Princesa - Manila (every Friday and Sunday)
- Manila - Bacolod - Manila (every Wednesday and Saturday)
- Manila - Kalibo - Manila (every Tuesday and Thursday)
- Manila - Caticlan - Manila (every Wednesday and Friday)
- Clark - Davao - Clark (every Saturday)
- Cebu - Davao - Cebu (every Thursday)
The following are the available domestic flights through AirAsia
from August 15 to 31 only (as of August 1, 2020):
- Manila - Davao - Manila (daily)
- Manila - Cebu - Manila (daily)
- Manila - Cagayan de Oro - Manila (every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday)
- Manila - Iloilo - Manila (daily)
- Manila - Tacloban - Manila (daily)
- Manila - Puerto Princesa - Manila (every Friday, and Sunday)
- Manila - Bacolod - Manila (daily)
- Manila - Kalibo - Manila (every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday)
- Manila - Caticlan - Manila (every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday)
- Clark - Davao - Clark (every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday)
- Cebu - Davao - Cebu
Take note, AirAsia may apply changes to their flight schedule without
notice. If you have booked a flight, make sure to check your e-mails and
messages for up-to-date information about your flight.
AirAsia reassures safety aboard its flights due to enhanced health measures
while flying: "The safety and wellbeing of our guests and Allstars remains
AirAsia’s top priority. AirAsia is complying with advice and regulations
from the local government, civil aviation authorities, global and local
health agencies, including the World Health Organization."
To name a few, the airline adopts a multi-layered approach in assuring
safety to guests as early as arriving at the airport and continues
throughout the flight. Upon arriving at the airport, several health
screening stations and thermal scanners are placed at entry points and
boarding gates.
