In an update on the Jetstar Asia site, the Singapore-based budget carrier announced its flight resumption plans to five cities within Asia during the month.
On August 10, the airline resumed flights to Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh, and Penang. A week later (August 17), Jetstar Asia will resume flights to Clark and Medan. All flights will operate on a once-weekly basis.
The resumption of the five routes will be an addition to the current flights the airline is operating to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila. While more travelers will have options with Jetstar Asia, outbound flights from Singapore to Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh will operate as cargo-only flights.
In addition to the flight resumptions, the airline also announced it will mount an additional weekly flight between Singapore and Manila starting August 15. Passengers traveling to Manila will be required to wear face shields during the flight.
