AirAsia resumes international flights in August

Aviation Updates Philippines – On Tuesday, budget airline Philippines AirAsia said it would resume limited flights to select international destinations beginning August 2020. The airline also plans to ramp-up flights to vital domestic points in the country.

AirAsia released the flight schedule for both domestic and international flights next month. Starting August 3, the airline will mount a once-weekly flight from Manila to Don Meuang. A once-weekly flight to both Kuala Lumpur and Taipei will also resume, the following day, on August 4.

Meanwhile, AirAsia intends to mount twice-daily flights to Davao and Cebu and increase frequencies for flights to Cagayan de Oro, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, and Iloilo and Bacolod. Flights from Manila to Panglao and Caticlan will also resume on August 1 and August 2, respectively.

Philippines AirAsia's flight schedule from August 1-31, 2020, as of July 14, 2020.

Select flights are already available for bookings via the AirAsia mobile app, and website at www.airasia.com. The airline said guests might use their credit accounts to redeem these flights.

AirAsia will continue to operate domestic flights from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, instead of Terminal 4. Airport authorities have suspended operations at the Manila Domestic Passenger Terminal until further notice.

Moreover, the airline reassured passengers amid COVID-19: “The safety and well-being of our guests and Allstars remains AirAsia’s top priority. AirAsia is complying with advice and regulations from the local government, civil aviation authorities, global and local health agencies, including the World Health Organization.”
