PAL outlines flights from July 1 onward
Aviation Updates Philippines – National flag carrier, Philippine Airlines on Monday announced the initial
schedule for domestic and international flights from July 1, 2020, onward.
PAL would continue to focus on strengthening and reestablishing its local
route map in the coming days.
More domestic flights will be added over the next few weeks as the airline
continues to restart operations to crucial cities gradually. However, the
airline said it might have to cancel, add or adjust flights due to "evolving
entry restrictions and requirements."
PAL plans to operate scheduled flights from Manila to Basco, Tacloban,
Bacolod, Iloilo, Legaspi, Puerto Princesa, Busuanga, Catarman, Dumaguete,
Kalibo, Caticlan, Roxas, Tagbilaran (Panglao), Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, and
Ozamiz.
Next month, PAL Express will also resume some flights from the Cebu, Davao,
and Clark hub: Clark-Davao, Cebu-Cagayan de Oro, Cebu-Davao, Cebu-Tacloban,
Davao-Iloilo, and Davao-Tagbilaran (Panglao). Flights from Davao, however,
are still subject to government approval.
Moreover, PAL has only released the schedule for international flights
operating between July 1 to July 6, 2020. Some international flights will be
rerouted to Mactan-Cebu International Airport, instead of Manila, because of
quarantine processing limitations at the capital.
The airline said all international flights from Manila would depart from the
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 while all arrivals will
be at Terminal 2. Nevertheless, all domestic flights from NAIA will depart
and arrive in Terminal 2.
PAL continues to implement the Fly Safe "new normal" practices to reassure
health precautions on-board their flights. All passengers and staff are
required to wear face masks at the airport and throughout their flights. At
the same time, the flight crew will undergo a medical evaluation before
every trip. These are only a few of PAL's new normal adjustments.
