Cebu Pacific hailed 'most improved airline for 2020'
Aviation Updates Philippines – International aviation industry experts from AirlineRatings.com rated Cebu Pacific Air as the 'Most Improved Airline for 2020' among all airlines operating globally.
According to AirlineRatings.com Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Thomas, "Cebu Pacific has become a major part of the fabric of life in the Philippines bringing affordable travel to most."
He added: “The airline has a very modern fleet and operationally is now up there with the best.”
Cebu Pacific recently finalized an order for 16 Airbus A330-900neo that are expected to wear a high-density all-economy configuration capable of carrying up to 460 passengers in a single flight. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at the Paris Air Show 2019 for the said order.
Aside from the wide-body, the low-cost carrier also placed an order for five (5) additional Airbus A320neo aircraft and ten (10) of the recently-launched Airbus A321XLR.
The Gokongwei-led airline operates one of the youngest fleets in Asia with only 4.9 years average age for the whole fleet of 20 active ATR 72-500/600, 30 Airbus A320-200, 4 Airbus A320neo, 7 Airbus A321-200, 4 Airbus A321neo ACF, and 8 Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
