Philippines AirAsia suspends several Clark flights

Aviation Updates Philippines - Manila-based airline Philippines AirAsia is suspending some of its Clark operations between January 26, 2018 to February 1, 2018.

A Facebook post from the airline stated that it will be halting flights from Clark temporarily as it faces delays on aircraft delivery.

AirAsia said it will suspend its Clark-Davao-Clark services from January 26 to February 1. The inaugural flights from Clark to Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, and Tacloban will also be re-scheduled on February 2, 2018.

The airline assured passengers have already been notified via their e-mail accounts and SMS notifications. AirAsia urged passengers to keep the guests' e-mail address and cellphone numbers with their country code prefix in order to be contacted anytime. 
Affected guests will be able to choose the below options:
1. Re-route flights via Manila airport within 30 days of original departure and opt for either (i) free scheduled shuttle bus services between Clark International Airport and NAIA Terminal 4 airport drop off points or (ii) P500-peso credit shell* per guest; or 
2. Move flight: Change to a new travel date on the same route within 30 calendar days from original flight date without additional cost and subject to seat availability and including P500-peso credit shell* per guest; or 
3. Credit shell: Retain the value of fare in your AirAsia BIG Loyalty account for future travel and with additional credit shell* of P500-peso per guest; or
*Please be advised that online credit shell is valid within 90 calendar days from the date of issue. 
4. Full Refund: Obtain a full refund in the amount equivalent to your booking. This can be done strictly via e-form available on https://support.airasia.com/ 
a) Click on “Email Us” tab on the right panel
b) Select “Refund” under Type of Feedback
c) Select “Flight Cancellation” under Sub Category 1
d) Complete the remaining form fields and click Submit to proceed
e) Please be advised that processing of refund takes 30 working days

 All operations of AirAsia from Clark International Airport are expected to resume normally starting February 2, 2018 as their new aircraft arrives.
