AirAsia Zest launches fly-thru service to Australia

Aviation Updates Philippines - Low-cost carrier, AirAsia Zest, announced on Tuesday that they will be launching a 'fly-thru' service to Australia through a partnership agreement with its Malaysian sister airline, AirAsia Berhad. The flight will depart from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4. Meanwhile, the carrier had an all-in introductory promo fares from as low as P5,609.

The airline said that it is now offering flights to Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney in Australia via connecting flights through AirAsia Berhad. The service allows AirAsia Zest guests to connect on multiple flight legs (on certain flights) without needing to pass through immigration, collect bags, check-in between flights or have a transit visa.

Guests who will avail of the Fly-Thru service via www.airasia.com starting this Tuesday will enjoy all-in introductory promo fares from as low as P5,609 for Manila to Adelaide, Php 6,999 for Manila to Sydney and Php 7,179 for its Manila to Melbourne flights.

AirAsia Zest likewise offers "Buy Now, Fly Now" promo fares also starting this Tuesday until July 13, 2014. Guests who will avail of this promo through its website, www.airasia.com, would be able to travel until November 13, 2014.

"We offer guests the convenience of connecting seamlessly at low fares and at the same time ensuring that our guests enjoy only the best quality service from us," Joy Caneba, AirAsia Zest Chief Executive Officer, told reporters.

After arriving at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2, passengers with onward boarding pass will be asked to proceed to International Transfer and go through security check. "The connectivity and convenience of traveling between Philippines and Australia via our fly-thru service will further boost tourism and encourage our Filipino overseas workers to come home as often as possible," Caneba added.

AirAsia Zest flies 20 local destinations from Manila, Clark (Pampanga) and Kalibo (Aklan). It also flies from Manila to Incheon and Pusan in South Korea, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Shanghai and Jinjian City in China, Macau, and Taipei in Taiwan.
