Boeing delivers 8000th Boeing 737 to United Airlines

Aviation Updates Philippines - Boeing delivered their 8000th Boeing 737 to United Airlines last April 16, 2014. The plane, a Boeing 737-900ER Next Generation aircraft, registered as N68821, is making another milestone for the best-selling plane.


The Boeing 737 is a short to medium haul range twin-jet narrow-body airliner. The 737 is the first commercial airliner to reach this milestone.

The 7000th Boeing 737 was delivered to flyDubai in December 18, 2011. The aircraft was a Boeing 737-800 Next Generation and 21st on its fleet. At that time, flyDubai also had the remaining order of 30 more planes.

Our Flag Carrier, Philippine Airlines, had also operated a Boeing 737-300, and then replaced with the most advanced aircraft, the Airbus A320-family.
