Drunken passenger assaults flight attendant on PAL flight to Los Angeles

AviationUpdatesPH.com – In a recent incident on a US-bound Philippine Airlines flight, federal authorities apprehended an intoxicated Filipino passenger.

The individual, identified as Nonga, was accused of making inappropriate advances towards a female flight attendant and assaulting a male crew member who intervened.

Nonga confessed to consuming four beverages at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport lounge in Manila prior to boarding Philippine Airlines flight 112 to Los Angeles.

According to an eyewitness account, the situation escalated when an attendant denied Nonga another drink. He responded with a barrage of expletives directed at the flight attendants in Tagalog and even issued a death threat to one of them.

The report further states that Nonga attempted to kiss a female flight attendant. When a male colleague stepped in to assist, Nonga retaliated by physically assaulting him, delivering blows to his head and body.

Despite being restrained and his parents' subsequent apology for his actions, Nonga resumed his attack on the male flight attendant. The incident underscores the challenges faced by airline staff in ensuring passenger safety during flights. Further updates will follow as the investigation continues.
